A Dexter man was arrested Nov. 26 after a mother told authorities the man sexually molested one of her children.

According to the court complaint, the children say Jesse Steven Shulze, 31, sexually molested one of them about 2.5 years ago, while the other witnessed it. The victims say Shulze would also watch them while they were sleeping and threatened to choke them if they spoke up about the alleged assault, according to the Mower County Court complaint.

Shulze was charged monday in Mower County Court with five counts of criminal sexual conduct, including acts with a victim younger than 13. His next court appearance is set for Dec. 27.
