City and county workers faced off for a good cause this week.
The government employees held their annual city/county food-drive weigh-in at the recycling center Friday afternoon. The two sides raised a combined total of 2,017 pounds of food for the Salvation Army, but in the end it was the city coming out on top with 1,124 pounds of food to the county’s 893 pounds.
