Milton Duane Bjerke, 86, beloved husband and father, found perfect peace on Nov. 16, 2012.

Milton was born May 15, 1926. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a longtime resident of Austin, Minn. Milton was an employee of George A. Hormel Co. He was also a resident of Richfield, Minn.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eva Mae (nee Douty); sister, Mary Lou Morrow (Burton); sister-in-law, Joyce Bjerke; children, Marcia Deike (Robert), Duane (Karna), William (Delaine) and Mary Beth Johnson (James); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at the Good Samaritan United Methodist Church in Edina, Minn. Visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to service and Thursday, Nov. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Good Samaritan UMC.
