Marilyn Lonning, 88, of Edina, Minn., died Oct. 31, 2012.

Marilyn was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Minneapolis to Anna Mary Berg and Lafe Shannon. She married Gordon Lonning, and was a member of PEO and Plymouth Congregational Church. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, cooking and various hand crafts.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Mary Skoy of Edina; sons, Steve Lonning of Hopkins, Minn., and Rob Lonning of Hailey, Idaho; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lonning.

The cremation society of Minnesota is assisting with arrangements.
