Howard Francis Greenlee Jr., 76, of Rose Creek, Minn., died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at his home.
Howard was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Austin, Minn., to Howard Greenlee Sr. and Margaret Lechman Greenlee. Howard enjoyed his morning coffee at The Rose Peddler. He liked hunting and fishing and just being outdoors, spending time with his boys Dylan and Keenan on their regular golf cart rides. He loved his trips to the Amish to “sugar up” the children and they loved it, too. Howard loved life and sharing it with all of you. He especially loved giving his wife a hard time but more so loved to see her smile.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Maynard and Ron Greenlee, sister Marcella Waller and son Chris. He is survived by his wife Barbara “Bobbie”; son Heath Greenlee (Darcy); grandsons Dylan and Keenan Greenlee; four children by a previous marriage, Doug, David, Dan and Dianna; brother Bob Greenlee (Kathy); sisters Joan (Arnold) Haney and Bev Hungerford; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral Mass for Howard Greenlee will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at The Church of St. Peter in Rose Creek with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Rose Creek. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin. Mayer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
