An Austin woman was injured Sunday evening when her car was struck by another vehicle near Walmart in Austin.

According to the police report, a 40-year-old Iowa man driving a Ford Escape struck the 24-year-old victim’s Chrysler Cordova, causing her a head injury. The victim was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.

Gold Cross transported the victim to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin. The Iowa man complained of shoulder pain, as his airbag deployed; however, he declined medical attention.

The police report does not state that any citations were issued in the accident.
