Nancy Ann White, 75, of Austin, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at her home.

Nancy was born March 24, 1937, in Austin to Frank and Georgia (Nordland) Downey. She grew up in Austin and graduated from high school.

On Nov. 3, 1956, she married Merrill M. DeRaad. They had three children, and were married for 25 years before they divorced. Later, Nancy met and married Paul W. White in 1982. They were happily married for years, before Paul passed away.

Nancy loved and enjoyed her family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, reading, sewing, and also volunteered at the Paramount and Historical Society in Austin. Her presence will be forever missed on every holiday and birthday. She is greatly loved by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her daughters, Shari Talamantes, Albert Lea, Beth (Frank) Jensen, Austin; step children, Butch (Marilyn) White, Detroit Lakes, Judy (Ron) Anderson, Moorhead, JoAnn (Steve) Quam, Detroit Lakes; siblings, Tom (Marsha) Downey, Austin, Pam Grover, Austin, Sharon Decker, Austin, Jack (Kelly) Downey, Austin; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; brother, Pat; son, Jay DeRaad; great grandson, Gauge Jensen.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Mayer Funeral Home with Father Dale Tupper officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday and one hour before the service at Mayer Funeral Home on Saturday. Interment will be in Enterprise Cemetery.
