A mishap at the grocery store left one woman with an injured leg Monday.
The 74-year-old victim — whose car was parked along the curb at the main doors of Hy-Vee in Austin at 3:43 p.m. — opened her car door as an AMCAT bus was driving by slowly. According to the police report, the rear bumper of the bus caught the car door. When the door released from the bumper, the woman was knocked to the ground. The bus driver immediately stopped for the accident. Gold Cross personnel took the victim to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin as she complained of pain in her right knee.
No citations were issued.
