Thanks for helping Humane Society raise $12,000

The Mower County Humane Society held its 16th annual Walk for Animals on Sept. 9. We would like to thank everyone who helped make it a success either by collecting pledges, by making a donation, or by volunteering at the event. Because of your generosity, we raised more than $12,000 to help save the abandoned pets in Mower County.

We would like to acknowledge the following businesses and individuals who helped the Humane Society put together this event: The Portrait Shoppe, Pawsh Styling Spaw & Boutique, The Renaissance Depot Hotel/Water Park, Cinemagic 7, Hy-Vee, Fleet Farm, Pam Miller’s Bone Appetite Canine Bakery, Robert’s Specialty, Rent N Save, Austin Vet Clinic, Austin Public Library, Double K Specialty, Austin Park and Recreation, Rita Klassen, Don and Mona Rush, Donna Hunter, Barry Rush and all the volunteers who helped the day of the event. MCHS is an all-volunteer organization, and 100 percent of the money raised will go to reduce the number of abandoned pets in Mower County. Our current pet count is 116 cats and 25 dogs. If you are looking for a neutered/spayed, current-on-vaccines, absolutely wonderful pet, consider the Mower County Humane Society. Thanks for the support!
