Hayfield football team falls to Goodhue

HAYFIELD — The Hayfield football team showed scored a season-high amount of points, but still fell short with a 36-21 loss to Goodhue (2-1 overall) in Hayfield Friday.

The Vikings (0-3 overall) trailed 16-8 at the break and the game hit a 30-minute delay due to a power outage early in the third quarter.

Hayfield quarterback Brady Kramer had 258 yards of offense and three total touchdowns.

“It was the best team we’ve put on the field all year,” Hayfield head coach Andrew Weiers said. “It’s a step forward.”
