Austin sophomore midfielder Madeline Anderson broke into the scoring column in a big way for the Packers girls soccer team this week. Anderson netted her first goal of the season in a 2-0 win over Stewartville on Tuesday and she scored Austin’s only two goals in the Packers’ 3-2 overtime loss to Mankato East on Thursday. Besides making an impact with her goals, Anderson was crucial in Austin controlling possession in the near-upset of the Cougars as she used her speed to give Austin plenty of chances throughout the game.
