Around $7K worth of tools, toolbox stolen

The Mower County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a spendy tool theft that allegedly happened last month.
According to the sheriff’s report, the victim said someone stole his toolbox and tools from his sister’s home between Brownsdale and Dexter on 250th Street during the summer.
The victim put the toolbox at that home on May 1 and noticed it missing on Aug. 21. The victim is not sure when the toolbox was taken and did not notice any forced entry to the home.
The toolbox, the victim said, is worth roughly $3,000 and contained about $4,000 in tools, as well.
There are no suspects in the case at this time. Anyone with information in this case may call the Law Enforcement Center at 437-9400.
