Local emergency officials pronounced one woman dead at the scene of a car crash Sunday morning near Spring Valley.

Jennifer Lyn Boland, 31, of Spring Valley, died at 12:28 a.m. before emergency workers could free her from her Chrysler minivan. The accident, at an uncontrolled intersection of 235th Street and 790th Avenue in Frankford Township, was reported at about 12:15 a.m.

According to the police report, the driver of a Chevy Tahoe collided with the van in the intersection; however, that driver and her passenger were OK. Both cars went into the southwest ditch and sustained heavy damage. The passenger of the Tahoe was taken to St. Marys hospital in Rochester. The driver of the Tahoe passed all field sobriety tests, and officers detected no alcohol at the scene.

All three involved in the accident were wearing seat belts. No charges will be issued. Authorities will perform an autopsy on Boland’s body.
