Bryan Peck wins Cedar River Golf Club Championship

ADAMS — Bryan Peck of Grand Meadow scored even par on final nine holes of the 27-hole annual Cedar River Golf Club to win the club tournament championship in Adams Sunday.
Peck finished one stroke ahead of defending champion Jeff Thalberg, of Eden Prairie and two strokes in front of newcomer to the tournament A.J. Wiste of Adams.
Shari Wagner of Adams won the Women’s Club Championship. Runner up in the medalist play was Brooke Sloan of Grand Meadow.
Cathy Sumner of Adams was the winner of the blind bogey division and Teresa Bergene, of Rose Creek was runner-up.
Tyler Sloan of Grand Meadow was the Junior Champion, while Tyler Westrich of Elkton placed second and Sam Wagemann of Rochester placed third.
Allie Sloan of Grand Meadow was the 13 and under Junior Girl Champion.
Other Flight winners include: First Flight: Trevor Emanuel of Adams won first place by beating Mark Helfrich of Austin and Russ Foster of LeRoy in a three-hole playoff; Second Flight: Gary Landherr of Rose Creek took first and Rich Stroup of Rose Creek placed second, while Zach Stratton of Kasson placed third; Third Flight: Russ Hamilton of Elkton took first, Randy Stephenson of Dexter, placed second and Duane Jendersee of Austin was third.
Jordan Osmundson of LeRoy, Russ Foster of LeRoy and Gary Landherr of Rose Creek were the closest to the pin winners. Peck won the long drive contest for the men and Shari Wagner won it for the women.
