Woodson teacher named board member of Minn. Technical Academies

Allison Gunderson, a Woodson Kindergarten Center teacher, was named an at-large board member for the Minnesota Technical Academies board under the Southern Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.
Minnesota Technical Academies seeks to have a positive impact on youth, employment and the profitability of business throughout the region. Innovative Quality Schools recently approved a letter of intent from Minnesota Technical Academies and the Corporate Universities. The charter public high schools are scheduled to open in the fall of 2013 pending Minnesota Department of Education approval this fall. Minnesota Technical Academies’ goal is to open with two full-service charter public high schools, one campus located in Waldorf to serve Mankato, Owatonna, Waseca, Albert Lea, Faribault, Blue Earth, Wells, Janesville and surrounding areas. The other will be in Fairmont, serving the Jackson, St. James, Blue Earth, Madelia, and Truman areas.
