Jenni Yocom, who will be a senior at Austin High School this fall, will be playing in the NAFA National softball tournament in Chaska this Thursday through Sunday.

Yocom, who is coming off an illness she suffered in the spring, is a backup pitcher and utility player for the Minnesota Edge, a club team out of West St. Paul/new Brighton.

The Edge have played in seven tournaments this season and have finished fourth place or better in five of them.

Other area players who will play in the NAFA Nationals for the Mankato Peppers 18U team include Austin grad Danielle Tschann, Syndey Murphy, who will be an AHS sophomore in the fall, Shayley Vesel, who will be a freshman at AHS this fall and Dani Wagner, who will be a junior at Hayfield in the fall.
