A pedestrian who was struck by a car in Austin on Wednesday is OK, and no charges will likely be filed in the accident.

According to the police report, Nicole Brielle Corriea, 18, of Austin, was walking on West Oakland Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle. At the time, about 5:40 p.m., it was raining, and Corriea said she did not see the 2006 Volkswagen Passat driven by Ronalie Vaith, 59, of Austin. Vaith said she was turning west onto Oakland from Fifth Street when she struck Corriea. Though Vaith said she did not have injuries, Gold Cross arrived and took her to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for an evaluation.
