Plenty of feet in Austin will join millions of others around the nation on Saturday as part of the YMCA’s National Dance Day.

Austin’s Y will take part at 9 to 11 a.m. with Zumba in the Y parking lot and aqua Zumba in the pool from 9 to 9:30 a.m. From 9:45 to 10:15 a.m., Zumba gold will be in the fitness studio, and Kids Zumbatomic will be held 10:15 to 11 a.m. in the fitness studio.

National Dance Day, a grassroots initiative to encourage the nation, young and old, is now an annual event. The event was created by Nigel Lythgoe of the You Think You Can Dance television series. It promotes dance education and physical fitness across the U.S.
