Margery E. Hindt, 86, LeRoy, Minn.

Margery E. Hindt, 86, formerly of LeRoy, Minn., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 9, 2012, at Seasons Hospice, Rochester, Minn.
Margery was born to Edward and Mary (Hochstatter) Robinet on Dec. 26, 1925, on the family farm near Hospers, Iowa. She attended St. Mary’s elementary school in Ashton, Iowa, and graduated from Sibley High School in 1943. After attending Cedar Falls Teachers’ College, she taught fourth grade at Hartley, Iowa and Country School near Sibley, Iowa. When she wasn’t teaching, she spent her summers in Chicago, Ill., working at McDonnell-Douglas.
On June 21, 1949, she married Edward Hindt at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Sibley, and to this union 10 children were born. They resided in Sibley until 1955 when they moved to LeRoy, where they farmed until Edward passed away in 1986. After his death, Margery lived in LeRoy until 2004 when she moved to Spring Valley Estates. She resided there until she relocated to Spring Valley Care Center in March of 2011.
Margery was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in LeRoy until she moved to Spring Valley. Friends and family will remember her love of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and how their visits brightened her day. As a former teacher, Marge was an avid reader and she was also a phenomenal cook. She enjoyed cooking meals for family and friends.
She is survived by nine children: Marilyn (Kent) Durenberger of North Mankato, Minn.; Larry (Joy) Hindt of Spring Valley, Minn.; Tom (Judy) Hindt of Waseca, Minn.; Donna (Neil) Hanks of LeRoy; Sheryl (Leonard) Schrader of Castle Rock, Minn.; Peggy (Dennis) Kuisle of Rochester; Paul (Kristin) Hindt of Lansing/Wabasha, Minn.; Carol (John) Kuisle, of Owatonna, Minn; and Jim (Christine) Hindt of Spring Valley. She was a proud loving grandmother to 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son John, a brother Harold Robinet, and a sister Jean Wagner.
Marge’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the prayers, support, and encouraging words from extended family, friends, and caregivers at Seasons Hospice.
A funeral Mass for Margery E. Hindt will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in LeRoy with Father Steve Peterson officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy on Saturday, July 14, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a rosary recited at 3:30 p.m.
