Linda M. Ellis, 62, of Lyle, Minn., died Monday, July 16, 2012, at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Minneapolis.
Linda Marie Kaput was born June 5, 1950, in Austin, Minn. to George and Lois (Hagan) Kaput. She grew up in the Lyle/London area, graduating from Lyle High School in 1968. Linda then attended the Austin Area VoTech and received her nursing license. On Jan. 9, 1971, she married Carl Ellis in Lyle, Minn. The couple had two children. Linda lived most of her life in the Lyle area, and was a branch manager at the Sterling State Bank in Lyle. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lyle, the Jaycee Women and Women of Today. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Carl Ellis of Lyle; her children Alan (Monica) Ellis of San Antonio, Texas and Scott Ellis of Lyle; four grandchildren, Hannah, Mary Catherine, Cody, Grace; two sisters, Kristine (Ken) Bartness of Austin and Nancy Knipp of Dallas, Texas; brother Robert Kaput of London, Minn.; many nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lois Kaput and sister Sharon Kaput.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin, with Father Jim Steffes officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at a later date. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com. Memorials can be directed to recipient of donor’s choice. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
