Letter to the Editor

This is in response to Mr. Gregory Soderberg’s letter “Creation of money is part of freedom” letter on July 13.

If the U.S. Treasury printed more money, then what is in circulation now you would experience prices of all consumer goods skyrocket. Look how the market for gasoline products seemed to raise in price overnight from $1.75 to almost $5 a gallon. As of this writing, gas prices are $3.59 and if $2 million was printed and put into circulation, gas prices would raise immediately to about $6 a gallon.
