HHH hosting the Harris Piano Competition

The Hormel Historic Home is holding a piano competition for young pianists.
The competition will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, at three locations: The Hormel Home, the Library, and the Paramount Theatre.
The contest will be divided into four groups: Beginners (age 4-8), intermediate (age 9-11), junior (age 12-14) and senior (age 15-18).
Awards will be given to all contestants, and the top eight performers will enjoy a celebration dinner with mentor musician Mory Ortman.
A concert and the awards ceremony will be held that afternoon at 4 p.m.
Ortman is a professional musician in New York City, and accompanies auditions, lessons, coaching along with being a music director.
Ortman will conduct a music career Q & A with all pianists and families before the concert at at 3:15 p.m. the day of the performance.
