Dorothy Margaret Nieman, 95, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012.
Dorothy was born on Aug. 27, 1916, to Walter and Hedwig A. (Feldt) Gutman in St. Ansgar. She was the oldest of nine children. Dorothy married Harry Herman Nieman on July 17, 1935.
She is survived by her children, Yvonne Krumm of St. Ansgar and Harry Otto (Dorothy Jean) Nieman of Mapleview, Minn; grandchildren, Donald Krumm of Ocala, Fla., Debra (Ja.mes) Nelson of Rose Creek, Minn., Joyce (Thomas) Crowley of St. Ansgar, and the Rev. Diane Krumm of Mayville, N.D.; great-grandchildren, Kristina (Steven) Morische of Dayton, Mass., Lacey Crowley of Speicher, Germany, Shawn Crowley of Fairborn, Ohio; two sisters, Deloris Mooney of Baltimore, Md., and Elaine Little of Punta Gorde, Fla.; one brother, Myron Gutman of Fairbanks, Alaska; sister-in-law, Gerildine Berney of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers-in-law Duane Miller of Long Prairie, Minn. and Jim Lillemo of Isandi, Minn.; and Francis Gutman of Fairbanks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harry Herman Nieman; three brothers, Walter, Willard and Donald; two sisters, Margaret Miller and Marilyn Lillemo; son-in-law, Clarence Krumm; sister-in-law, Laurene Gutman; niece, Beverly Rae Regnell; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar.
