The second game on Saturday saw Austin beat Okauchee, 10-0. Stevens, Conner, Josiah Rohne, and Jake Reinartz all had two hits. Reinartz added 3 RBIs in the game.

The win advanced the local All-Stars to the quarterfinal game on Sunday morning against Hillsboro, where Trevor Stevens pitched all six innings to lead the Eagles to a 7-2 victory. Daniel Bollingberg went 4-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Stevens also collected two hits with Alex Ciola going 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBIs.

The semi-final game Sunday noon saw the All-Stars taking on the boys from Shelby G2 LaCrosse.

Jake Reinartz struck out 10 of the 14 batters he faced and he allowed just one hit in the win. Nathan Conner and Dylan Gasner were both 3-for 3-in the game. Alex Ciola was 2-for-2, scored twice and had 4 RBIs.

In the championship game Austin met the only other undefeated team in the tournament, the Boys & Girls Club Alumni team from La Crosse. Daniel pitched a one-hitter in the 5-0 win. Bollingberg was also 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and a triple.

Trevor Stevens and Jason Stoulil also collected two hits each.

“The team played great all weekend and everybody contributed in some way or another,” Austin head coach Rick Stoulil said. “Due to the hot conditions on Friday and Saturday, we only let the pitchers go one or two innings at a time. Ten of the 13 players pitched at some point during the tournament which really helped on Sunday because the three top guys were ready to go and all three pitched complete games.”

The Austin All-Star Eagles now sport a record of 22-5-1 and next compete in the MBT State Tournament in Lakeville, July 13-15.
