Walter “Wally” Danielson, 64, of Faribault, Minn., passed away on June 7, 2012, at his home following an extended illness.
Walter Douglas Danielson, the son of Kenneth and Loretta (Blizek) Danielson, was born May 26, 1948, in Waseca, Minn. Wally attended vocational school specializing in small engine repair. For most of his career, Wally owned and operated his own small engine repair business. He also worked briefly at Heselton Construction in Faribault and several years for Waseca Rental. Many people said he was the most kind, thoughtful, considerate man; always thinking of others rather than himself, and always willing to help everyone. He was very skilled and was able to build a home or overhaul a car. Wally truly enjoyed spending time outdoors, caring for his enormous flower and vegetable garden.
He is survived by his four siblings, Rita (Ed) Sheimo of Austin, Minn., Tom Danielson of Faribault, Pat (Dick) Wilker of Rochester, Minn., and Jerry Danielson (LaVonne Erickson) of Faribault; many nieces, nephews, and friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark, in infancy.
A private family Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. For online condolences, please visit www.ParkerKohlFuneralHome.com.
