Southland’s Wolterman to play in Minnesota All-Star football game

Southland grad Ben Wolterman will play in the 39th Annual Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game will be held on Saturday at Husky Stadium on the campus of St. Cloud University at 1 p.m.

The All-Star Football Game will showcase outstanding senior players from the 2011 high school football season. Players and coaches representing 78 schools and 31 conferences will participate in this year’s game. They were selected by members of the Minnesota Football Coaches Association.

All-Star week begins on Sunday June 24 when the 88 players and 14 coaches report to St. John’s University for the start of the seven day training camp. This will be the first time that the All-Star training camp is being held at St. John’s. The North and South teams will practice throughout the week at St. John’s. On Saturday morning the teams will travel from St. John’s to St. Cloud State University for the All-Star Game.
