ROCHESTER — Austin pitcher McKenna Gleisner was unfazed by the heat as the pitched the Austin 16U softball team to a pair of wins over the Rochester Storm on the road Wednesday.

Austin (14-11-1 overall) won the nightcap when Erin Dankert doubled in the tying run and scored the winning run on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh in a 2-1 Austin win and Austin won the opener 3-2.

“It was very, very warm and McKenna did a great job,” Austin head coach Lisa Quednow-Bickler said. “Our defense played big in the second game as they had the bases loaded with no outs twice and didn’t score.”
