NEW RICHLAND — The Austin U16 softball team swept New Richland-HEG by scores of 15-3 and 17-4 in a pair of four inning games on the road Wednesday.

Abbey Ball pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts to go along with three walks and one hit batter in the opening win for Austin (8-4-1 overall), and Sydney Murphy went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

McKenna Gleisner allowed just two hits and struck out two, while walking one and hitting a batter in the nightcap.

Ball went 3-for-3 with a homerun and two RBIs and Alicia Soforza was 2-for-2 with a homerun and two RBIs.
