A Brownsdale man who assaulted a 14-year-old last November and burglarized an Austin home in February was sentenced Thursday to nearly three years in prison.
Harley Becker, 19, was convicted of felony second-degree aggravated robbery Thursday in Mower County Court. He was convicted of third-degree assault in March for the November assault. Becker is set to serve 34 months in state prison and must pay $3,367 in restitution.
According to court complaints, Becker questioned the teen about looking in cars, then punched him in the face, stomped on his face multiple times and broke his glasses and skateboard behind the Paramount Theatre last November. Becker then participated in a four person burglary in February, in which he and the other suspects punched two girls younger than 18 and a 19-year-old man, stole cell phones and a 32-inch TV.
Becker has been given credit for 64 days served in the Mower County jail. The three others allegedly involved in the February thefts — Nestor Valle, Kyler Morehouse and Jordan Cox — have yet to be sentenced.
