If you think this election is getting wild, learn a little bit about 1912.

The Riverland Community College Generations program and the Mower County Historical Society present “The Four Way Race for President in 1912” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at Riverland.

The election featured a rare four-way race for president and was the first election in which all 48 continental states were able to vote. William Howard Taft, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson and Eugene Debs competed far past the primary elections in what many claim to be one of the most intriguing elections of the 20th century.
