FERGUS FALL — A Fergus Falls man who allegedly wore a loin cloth to mow his lawn was arrested for disorderly conduct Wednesday afternoon.

Neighbors alerted police of the alleged behavior of Matthew Thomas Swanson, 43, shortly before 5 p.m. The neighbor told police that Swanson was out clad in a loin cloth and swearing near a day care with children present. He had been asked to stop.

Swanson had allegedly partially exposed himself while mowing the lawn, and when confronted by police, he reportedly would not comply and continued to shout obscenities, resulting in his arrest.

Swanson had also been cited earlier in the day for making harassing phone calls after leaving phone messages with obscenities for the police department and at least one city official.
