A knife-wielding Austin man who allegedly threatened a group of people was arrested Monday night.

Police arrested Ronald Johnson, 36, at the 1000 block of Eighth Avenue SW after a group reported that Johnson said he was going to “wrap these people up like rag dolls.” The victims told police that Johnson verbally threatened them, said racial slurs and approached them on the street with a knife.

Johnson was cited for second-degree assault, domestic assault and disorderly conduct. He is currently in the Mower County jail.
