LEWISTON — The Southland baseball team allowed two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning as they lost 2-1 at Lewiston-Altura (9-4 overall) Thursday.

Sophomore pitcher Lukas Anderson had a solid pitching performance for Southland (7-7 overall, 7-7 Three Rivers) as he struck out eight and allowed just one hit and one walk in seven innings.

“Lukas pitched a heck of a game and we just didn’t have enough run support,” Southland head coach. “We had guys in scoring position the whole game, but we couldn’t get them in. We’re right were we need to be, but we’ve just got to get over that hump.”
