Huskies top Packer tennis team

The Austin boys tennis team lost to Owatonna 6-1 in Paulson Tennis Courts Thursday.

Bob Sherman picked up a a three-set win at No. 2 singles for the Packers (4-7 overall, 2-5 Big Nine) and Austin freshman Colton Detwiler led his third set 5-3 before dropping the last four games.

“Bob played a great match and it was a great experience for Colton,” Austin coach Tommy Tauchnitz said. “I think Colton started to play a little not to lose instead of playing to win when he was ahead.”
