Cooperative Response Center, Inc. will be holding a meet-and-greet for the Mower County Humane Society Saturday, May 19, at its office at 2000 Eighth St. NW in Austin (east of Walmart).

A number of dogs from the shelter will be at the event ready for adoption. At the 2011 event, the CRC helped six dogs find homes, which was one of the most successful adoption events the Humane Society has ever had, according to a news release.
