Edna Clara Hunnicutt, 89, Wells

Edna Clara Hunnicutt, 89, of Wells, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society, Albert Lea. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. The Rev. Paul Woolverton and Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate and burial will take place in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family with arrangements.
Edna was born June 11, 1922, in Freedom Township, Waseca County, the daughter of August F. and Laura T. (Niebuhr) Brandenburg. She attended school in Waldorf. On June 20, 1941, she was united in marriage to Vincent Hunnicutt in Rural Hartland. Edna was a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, where she was active in the Joy Circle and taught Sunday School. She worked at E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca for several years. She also worked alongside her husband Vincent on the farm while they were farming. Edna had a passion for gardening, especially with her grandsons Mike and Matt. She loved to do China painting and decorated cakes with her sister Dorothy.
Edna is survived by her son Alan; grandsons: Michael and Matthew; and her nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent; her son Dean; her parents; her brother Walter; and her sisters: Laura, Dorothy, Esther and Alice.
