ROCHESTER — The Lyle-Pacelli wrapped baseball team up the Southeast Conference title when it swept Schaeffer Academy (9-8 overall, 6-6 SEC) by scores of 11-0 in five innings and 7-4 in Mayo Field Monday.

“We finally came to play a full two games and these were the best two games we’ve played all year,” LP head coach Brock Meyer said. “Our juniors showed some good leadership and they were all excited to play on the big field.”

The Athletics (10-6 overall, 8-2 SEC) got a big boost from the bottom of they order as it produced some big hits. Kevin Juenger went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI on the day, Jake Nelson finished 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI and Drew Chapek went 3-for-5 with 3 RBI.

LP eighth grader Daniel Bollingberg and freshman Jordan Hart didn’t allow an earned run in 12 combined innings on the mound.
