CANNON FALLS — The Austin girls golf team advanced four golfers to the second day of the Section 1AAA golf meet in Cannon Falls Thursday.

Steph Justice, who shot a 93, Lauren Stasi, who shot a 98 will advance along with Shannon Stutzman and Kristine Snyder, who each finished with a 107, to Monday’s second round at Cannon Golf Club.

Synder scored her best round of the year.

“It is pretty cool to see (Snyder) play in day two of sections because it is her first year out for golf,” Austin head coach Erik LaRock said. “Cannon Golf Club is a really tough golf course and these four girls played well today.”
