WINONA — The Austin boys golf team fought through the conditions and the hills as they finished third at a triangular in Winona Tuesday.

The Packers scored a 357 as Winona won the meet with a 305.

“Two rain showers, with one including hail may have played a factor in our day,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said. “We need to work on playing courses with hills if we are going to compete here again in a few years.”

Alex Thorson led the Packers as he shot an 87.
