There’s a patch of Yellow Slippers
Growing, in fact, quite near by
One given by a dear friend
Never guessed, it would multiply.
Here they dance in regality
Dipping, swirling in spring’s breeze,
While swaying to the melody
Of tall pines and maple trees.
It’s Minnesota’s State Flower,
Pride and joy to the north
Hear tell, they’re loving Wisconsin
By the beauty and grace put forth.
A rarity unspoiled,
Gifted, from the Masters hand,
The “Yellow Lady’s Slipper,”
Isn’t it simply grand?
