A 15-year-old boy is in custody after police responded to two more burglaries and reports of a person car prowling late Wednesday night.
Police arrested the boy at about 10:34 p.m. Wednesday after they matched his description to that of the callers’. According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, police found a flashlight, a lot of loose change, and others’ personal checks when they arrested the boy in the 100 block of Seventh Street NW. According to the report, two southwest Austin residents reported being burglarized that night and also reported missing checks.
Authorities took the boy to Many Rivers Detention Center in Rochester, and the report will be forwarded to the Mower County Attorney’s Office for formal charges. Krueger said there is no indication if the break-ins are related to several others that happened earlier this week.
