The Packers boys track and field team finished second out of three teams at their home opening triangular at Larry Gilbertson Track and Field Tuesday.
Austin’s Omot Okello, who is in his first year with the Packers after transferring from Worthington, took first in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles.
“He’s getting himself back in shape to where he was last year,” Austin head coach Tony Einertson said. “He’s a nice addition to the team.”
Nate Schwab took 10 seconds of his 1600-meter run time from last week to take first and Erik Stephenson took first in the triple jump.
Austin finished with a score of 57 and Mankato West won the meet with a 71.
