Austin Police have no suspects after an alleged assault and robbery that happened Monday evening in Austin.
According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, a 22-year-old Austin man reported Tuesday morning that he was assaulted on Monday night. The victim — who was allegedly at the 900 block of Oakland Ave. E — said he was watching a man approaching from his front when he was knocked out from behind. The victim allegedly lay there for several minutes. He also said he went home after the attack and later discovered cash was missing from his truck, according to the report. The victim said the man he saw in front of him was a very dark, black man, about 6-feet tall, thin and had short hair and a scar on his forehead. He was allegedly wearing a baggy, white tee shirt and jeans but had no weapons at the time.
