Lyle-Pacelli’s Jennie Marx wins Rebel Invite for third straight year

ADAMS — Lyle-Pacelli senior Jennie Marx shot the best round of her career as she won the first place medal at the seven-team Rebel Invite at Cedar River Golf Course Friday.
Marx, who has now won three straight Rebel Invite titles, shot a 42 in nine holes to take first and Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander’s Kaitlin Kling took second overall with a 47.
As a team, LP took third with a 230 and Southland was fourth with a 265.
The GMLO boys took second in with a 375, Hayfield was third with a 386, Lyle-Pacelli was fourth with a 390 and Southland was fifth with a 408.
Brady Becker of Hayfield took third overall as he shot an 85.
Ted King of LP shot a career-best round of 93 to lead the Athletics.
