A 23-year-old Austin man who was charged with violating a no contact order nine times in 17 days pleaded guilty in Mower County Court Monday.

Ryan Ethen pleaded guilty to three gross misdemeanor counts of violating a no contact order within 10 years of the original offense. As part of a plea agreement, the six other charges were dropped.

According to court complaints, Ethen allegedly broke into a home in the 1300 block of Third Avenue SW in April 2011. The complaint states Ethen kicked in the door at his ex-girlfriend’s home. When Ethen’s ex dialed 911, Ethen hung up the phone and then fled. Officers arrested Ethen that night. Ethen was convicted in June for interfering with a 911 call and intentionally damaging property.
