Chill take home ice from Bruins

One day after they finished off a two-game sweep of the NAHL Central Division’s champion, the Austin Bruins surrendered playoff home ice to the Chill (38-15-5 overall) when they lost 5-3 at Alexandria Sunday.

Alexandria’s Reid Sturos scored a shorthanded goal with 13 minutes left in the third period to give the Chill a 4-3 lead.
Austin (35-17-6 overall) had tied the game in the second when Jonathan Gehrt and Brandon Wahlin each scored in an eight-minute span.
Nicholas Lehr had 25 saves in the loss to Alexandria.
The Bruins will now have to play the first two games on the road of their upcoming five-game playoff series with Alexandria, which is set to start April 6.
