EYOTA, Minn. — A man is facing possible murder charges in a fatal confrontation outside the American Legion Club in Eyota.

The 38-year-old man is being held in the Olmsted County jail and could be arraigned Thursday. Sheriff Dave Mueller says he’s suspected of causing the death of 44-year-old Jamie Unverzagt, who died several hours after he was knocked unconscious outside the Legion club late Friday.

The sheriff says investigators developed probable cause to arrest the Eyota man for second-degree murder. A funeral service for Unveraagt was held Wednesday in his hometown of Rochester.
