8 dogs removed from Austin home

Community service officers removed eight terrier mix dogs from an Austin home on Sunday, March 25.
According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers went to the house to do a welfare check; however, the home on Sixth Avenue in NE Austin is temporarily unoccupied. The report will be forwarded to the city and county attorney offices for further investigation. According to Krueger, a home in Austin may have a maximum of three dogs. There is no word on what will happen with the dogs at this point.
