A man and juvenile were arrested and one juvenile was taken into foster care after they allegedly drove around Mower County shooting things, including one cat in Dexter, late Friday.

Bradley J. Suess, 36, was arrested for DUI and a 16-year-old was taken into custody after Mower County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of shots fired from a vehicle in Pleasant Valley Township, according to Sheriff Terese Amazi.

Amazi said deputies received the call around 10:30 p.m. Friday. While law enforcement searched for the vehicle, someone in Dexter reported their cat had been shot. Deputies later found the car in question and arrested Suess and the 16-year-old in connection with the shooting. Amazi said the 16-year-old reportedly had a .30-30 rifle, which deputies confiscated along with four other guns in the car. Another 16-year-old in the car was placed into foster care, according to Amazi. She said it is unclear how Suess was related to that 16-year-old.

Amazi said one of the juvenile’s fathers later retrieved the guns from law enforcement.
