Wings beat Bruins in shootout

The Austin Bruins slipped one-point behind Aberdeen (24-17-6 overall) when it lost 4-3 in a shootout in Riverside Arena Friday.

The Wings hit on two out five chances in the shutout and the Bruins (24-14-6 overall) came up empty on all four of their tries.

Austin took a 3-2 lead when Charlie Adams scored his second goal of the night early in the third period, but the Wings forced overtime when CJ Reuschlein scored a powerplay goal with 3:06 left in regulation.

Tyler Bruggeman had 26 saves in the loss for Austin.
